The rustic village grew and now offers infrastructure for the demanding tourists. Pousadas, restaurants, cyber-cafés, local craft stores and the mini-gallery Beco das Cores are concentrated along the Estrada de Mucugê (actually a short, narrow and busy street, known as Caminho do Mar).

Be careful at the dirt road full of curves to Praia do Taípe: some drivers abuse the speed limit, causing accidents.
